Sylon — Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to our websites, simulators, and products (the “Services”). Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country or state. Where local law offers you more favorable protection, that law prevails.


1) Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing the Services, creating an account (if applicable), or placing an order, you accept these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference: Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, Pre-orders/Drops Policy (if published), and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Checkout consent (checkbox). At checkout you must tick a consent checkbox confirming that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Returns & Refunds Policy, including the estimated Drop timelines (e.g., 5–7 weeks production from the close date + 1–2 weeks shipping from dispatch). This consent does not waive any mandatory consumer rights.


2) Eligibility

You represent that you are of legal age to enter into an online contract in your country, or that you use the Services under the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian.


3) Contract information & communications

You agree to receive electronic communications related to orders, customer service, and contractual updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time; this does not affect transactional/service emails required to fulfill your order.


4) Orders, acceptance & availability

Validation. Automatic order confirmation does not constitute final acceptance. Sylon may refuse or cancel an order for a legitimate reason (e.g., obvious price/description mistake, unavailability, suspected fraud, return-abuse, breach of these Terms).

Obvious errors. If there is an obvious error, Sylon will ask you to confirm at the correct terms or will cancel with a full refund.

Quantity limits. We may limit quantities per person/household/order (especially for limited editions and launches).


5) Prices, taxes, duties & payment

Prices are shown exclusive of taxes, customs duties, and third-party fees that may apply in your country. Shipping charges appear at checkout. You authorize charging the full amount at order confirmation. Your bank/card issuer may apply independent fees or currency conversions outside Sylon’s control.


6) Shipping, delivery & transfer of risk

Transit times are indicative and may vary (carrier, customs, weather, peak periods).
Risk transfers at delivery when you (or a person you designate) take physical possession of the goods, subject to local law.

Freight forwarders / own carrier. If you choose your own carrier or a freight forwarder not offered by Sylon, risk may transfer on handover to that carrier, where permitted by law. Deliveries to forwarding addresses are deemed delivered when the carrier confirms handover to that address (subject to your mandatory rights).

7) Pre-orders, launches & Drops — firm rules

Payment & reservation. Unless stated otherwise, pre-orders are charged at checkout to reserve your unit.

No cancellation before delivery (commercial policy). Once paid, a pre-order is not cancellable before delivery. If mandatory local law grants a right to cancel for significant delay or failure to deliver by the agreed/announced date (or within a legally implied period), Sylon will comply: you may wait for the new date or cancel the item for a refund of the product price.

Estimated dates. Any ship/availability date for pre-orders, launches, or “Drops” is an estimate and may change, be postponed, or be split (quality, compliance, shortages, logistics, customs, force majeure).

Drop timelines (estimates). Production typically 5–7 weeks from the Pre-order Close Date; shipping typically 1–2 weeks from dispatch (region/carrier dependent). We may apply a quality hold to ensure compliant and safe goods.

No indirect compensation. Except where required by law, Sylon does not compensate indirect costs (travel, lodging, lost opportunity) related to delays.

Pre-order returns. Change-of-mind returns (where available in your region) are handled after shipment and delivery, via the Returns & Refunds Policy. Many pre-orders are made-to-order/limited-run; unless local law requires otherwise, return costs and risks are borne by you, and tracked return is mandatory.


8) Limited editions

Limited editions are not exchangeable (quantities are genuinely limited).
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed and a like-for-like replacement is unavailable, we will offer either:
(i) a non-limited but equivalent product (specs, quality, value) with a unique appearance; or (ii) a refund, as required by applicable law.


9) Returns, exchanges & refunds (after delivery)

Your purchase is governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Required process. Before sending anything back, email support@sylon.fr with Subject: order number, a clear reason, invoice, tracking (if available), and photos/videos. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.

Change of mind. Handled per your local law (e.g., distance-selling withdrawal rights in some regions) and, where no such right applies, under our commercial policy. Return shipping is generally your responsibility (unless local law provides otherwise), and tracked return is required for made-to-order/limited-run items.

Condition required. Return as sold, complete, clean, undamaged; otherwise a refusal or a deduction for loss of value may apply.

Manufacturing defect. We investigate with the factory. If confirmed, we will repair, replace, or refund. Misuse damage is excluded.

Return before refund. Unless a more favorable legal rule applies, refunds (including for pre-orders) occur after delivery and a compliant return.


10) Anti-fraud & fair-use safeguards

  • Prior email authorization for any return/exchange

  • Matching information (invoice, order, and—if available—tracking)

  • Inbound inspection of packaging, condition, and content consistency

  • Substituted/different items will be refused

  • Additional visual proof may be requested (unboxing, surfaces, edges, protections)

  • You are responsible for protective packing suitable for glass; breakage from inadequate packing may render a refund ineligible

  • In cases of proven abuse (serial unwarranted returns, intentional damage, documentary/payment fraud, abusive chargebacks), Sylon may refuse service, cancel orders, limit access, and lawfully contest chargebacks

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.


11) Intellectual property

Service content (text, graphics, logos, videos, simulators, interfaces, code) is protected and belongs to Sylon or its licensors. Any unauthorized use (reproduction, distribution, modification, reverse-engineering, data extraction or scraping contrary to law or these Terms) is prohibited.


12) User-provided content

You retain rights to your reviews/comments, but grant Sylon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, adapt, modify, and distribute such content to operate, improve, and market the Services. You warrant you have the rights and that your content is lawful and non-infringing.


13) Simulator & product information

The glide simulator illustrates differences under realistic parameters. Results are indicative and may vary with environment, maintenance, mouse-feet wear, cleanliness, and manufacturing tolerances. The simulator is not a scientific instrument.


14) Acceptable use & security

You agree not to use the Services in any unlawful, harmful, misleading, defamatory, or rights-infringing way; not to introduce malware; and not to conduct denial-of-service or similar attacks.


15) Legal guarantees & disclaimers

Nothing in these Terms limits your non-waivable legal rights (e.g., legal guarantees of conformity in the EU/EEA or non-excludable rights elsewhere). Except where prohibited or restricted by law, the Services and products are provided “as is” without warranties other than those imposed by law.


16) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sylon’s total liability for any claim related to a product or use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service at issue. Sylon is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or profits, unless such exclusion is not permitted by law.


17) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Sylon against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, or violation of others’ rights, to the extent permitted by law.


18) Third-party services & links

The Services may link to third-party sites/services. Sylon is not responsible for them. Their use is governed by their own terms.


19) Personal data

Processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference). By using the Services, you acknowledge you have read and understood it.


20) Export compliance & sanctions

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to applicable sanctions and agree not to export/re-export products in violation of export laws and sanctions regimes.


21) Force majeure

Sylon is not liable for delay or non-performance due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, governmental acts, war, terrorism, cyberattacks, strikes, widespread outages, shortages, fires, floods, pandemics, health restrictions, logistics blockages, supplier/carrier failures). Obligations are suspended during the event; Sylon may reschedule or cancel without liability other than refunding amounts paid for undelivered goods/unperformed services, as applicable.


22) Governing law & dispute resolution

Mandatory consumer-protection laws in your location apply where they are more protective.
Subject to that, these Terms are governed by French law.
The courts of Paris (France) have non-exclusive jurisdiction. You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country if local law so allows.

23) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, technical, or business reasons. The applicable version is the one presented and accepted at checkout (timestamped). For substantial changes affecting ongoing pre-orders, we will notify and, where required, seek consent or allow cancellation with refund.


24) Customer service — reminder (required process)

Returns/exchanges: email support@sylon.fr first with Subject: order number, a clear reason, invoice, tracking (if available), and photos/videos.
Consistency: ensure your Returns & Refunds page is authoritative and aligned with these Terms.


25) Practical box — shipping & pre-orders (recap)

Preparation: typically 1–3 business days (longer during launches).
Pre-orders/Drops: estimated dates only. Except where a more favorable legal right applies for significant delay, no cancellation before delivery; where required by law, you may accept a new date or cancel for a refund of the product price.
Tracking: sent by email after shipment.
Duties & taxes: may be due and are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.
Returns: follow the email process (see §24 and Returns & Refunds Policy). For made-to-order/limited-run items, tracked return is mandatory and at your cost unless local law requires otherwise.


26) Severability, assignment & entire agreement

If any clause is found invalid or unenforceable, the remainder stays in force; a court or authority may modify (blue-pencil) the clause to the maximum lawful extent. You may not assign your rights/obligations without Sylon’s written consent; Sylon may assign in connection with a reorganization or business transfer. These Terms and incorporated policies constitute the entire agreement between you and Sylon.


27) Language version

In case of discrepancies between translations, the language used at checkout prevails, subject to mandatory local law.
